How to remove wrinkles from face? What means can you use at home? Are there really effective and affordable techniques that will suit every woman? Should you consider salon procedures or proper home care is enough? How do you deal with wrinkles after 30 and what is the best face cream for wrinkles? Does instant wrinkle remover really exist?
In fact, the 30-year old mark is very relative. The first wrinkles can appear on the skin by the age of twenty-five. Genetics plays a very important and unpleasant role in this process because it can provide a predisposition to early aging. A skin type is also a very significant factor. In addition to that, the process of the appearance of wrinkles is different in various parts of the face. And this is a very important thing to consider.
But don’t worry. Be sure that proper care and timely procedures will help a woman to remain attractive and young for many years without wrinkles on her face, despite her age. The skin requires a careful approach, especially on the face. These are the most delicate areas that are the first to undergo aging.
Modern cosmetology offers many various ways to remove wrinkles from face. You can use both professional and home techniques for this. By the way, that’s exactly what we’re going to talk about in this article.
The Causes Of Wrinkles On The Face
In 2009, British scientists published the results of a research on how the type of skin affects the speed of aging. They found out that in the owners of a dry type of skin, this process is more active. If a girl already has first noticeable wrinkles on her face at the age of twenty-eight, then with a very high degree of probability, it can be assumed, that in eight years the number of wrinkles will increase by fifty-two percent.
The results of the studies published in the British Journal of Dermatology could be considered a verdict for the owners of the dry skin, if not for one interesting fact. In the publication, the researchers indicated that with proper care, the intensity of skin wrinkling reduces.
So, in women who do take care of their face at home, within eight years, the number of wrinkles increased by only twenty-two percent. These data allowed scientists to conclude that home care really helps to maintain youthful skin and reduces the intensity of wrinkle formation process.
Facial Expressions & Emotions
The so-called expression wrinkles are the very first to appear on the face. Usually, they look like deep creases of the skin on the forehead or between the eyebrows.
It has been scientifically proven that numerous emotions experienced throughout the life, such as fear, pain, joy, anger, sadness, have both positive and negative effects on our body and are all being reflected on the face. Emotional people are considered more open than those who remain reserved and cold calm, but it comes out, that they pay their external beauty for their emotions. Let’s find out what traces different emotions leave on our skin.
Out of all emotions, stress is our biggest enemy. It may sound strange, but stress can make us old much faster than time. It happens because stress is the most powerful stimulant of the hormone called cortisol, which freely penetrates into all corners of our body during stress. Cortisol affects each organ, each vessel becomes more fragile, new cells do not form as quickly as normally, and their regeneration also slows down drastically.
The skin ages from the inside. When you are stressed out, your eating habits may also change. For example, you can drink less water, which causes dehydration. Dehydration and poor nutrition can make wrinkles more visible. Irregular skin care can aggravate the situation even more.
Believe it or not, a trouble on the road on your way back from work, or a quarrel with your friend can contribute to the appearance of new wrinkles. Emotions of anger strain the muscles of the face, and over time, it causes the appearance of expression wrinkles.
In addition to that, anger does also affect the regenerative properties of your skin. The reason for that is the same cortisol hormone, which is produced in large quantities when you’re experiencing anger. This inhibits the production of collagen, which is the most important element for the regeneration and youthfulness of the skin.
Like anger, depression and sadness heavily affects our face and can cause wrinkles due to a constantly frowning face expression during which we wrinkle up our forehead and reduce eyebrows to the bridge of the nose.
Long depression has a disastrous effect on the skin since, during this period of time, our body produces hormones that do not allow cells to fight inflammatory processes. These hormones also affect our sleep, the lack of which cause periorbital dark circles and puffiness, swelling and dull complexion.
When you feel threat or danger – real or fictitious – the first reaction of the brain is sending a signal to the adrenal glands to release epinephrine, which is better known as adrenaline. As a result, the heart rate rises, blood rushes to the muscles in case you need the energy to run fast or fight.
Adrenaline captures a huge part of the blood from the skin and face and also narrows the blood vessels in the skin in order to control or reduce bleeding in case of a possible injury. It makes our skin experience a lack of nutrients and oxygen. Moreover, the hormones of fear make the skin pale and dull, as if you just met a ghost.
As you can see, to remove expression wrinkles from face, the first thing you need to do is to change habits and prevent negative emotions. You should understand that most of the means won’t be very helpful if you continue to deform the skin with various facial expressions.
Moreover, the person’s face is almost always open and thus exposed to many unfavorable external factors.
We all love the heat of the warm sun. We just feel good under its rays. Our skin gets tanned and it seems that it starts to look even better. Some of you may be surprised, but it comes out, that it’s not fully true. The scientists have proved that sun rays are not very useful for the skin. The sun exposure stimulates the formation of most of those wrinkles which we consider to be a natural part of age-related changes.
Over time, ultraviolet light damages the fiber in the skin called elastin. When this fiber spoils, the skin starts to sag, stretches and loses its ability to recover. Such skin is more susceptible to bruises and scratches. The damage to your skin caused by the sun is usually not obvious, while you are young, but the consequences with definitely become visible with time.
The most favorable climate for the skin is a wet climate. It is from excessively dry air that women suffer the most, both in winter and in summer. Under the influence of dry air, central heating or hot summer wind, skin cells lose precious moisture, which results in a premature aging and the loss of elasticity.
The thing is, that saturation with moisture plays a very important role in the proper functioning of skin cells. If there is enough moisture in them, all metabolic processes are active and the cells have the necessary volume.
But in the case of insufficient moisture, the volume of the cell decreases, it starts to look as if shrunk from the inside, becomes flabby and weak. Skin, the cells of which suffer from a lack of moisture, looks older, the wrinkles are formed easier, plus the peeling processes can also begin. So, if you are not lucky enough to be born in the tropical jungles of the Amazon, make sure that your skin gets enough moisture by using your best face cream for wrinkles and a moisturizer.
Skin serves as a protective barrier, which is designed to “repel” attacks of the outside world. The residents of megacities are faced with the problem of using special skin protective means in the everyday fight against bad environmental conditions. The influence of ecology is among the main causes of skin aging apart from other generally known negative factors.
External factors that adversely affect the condition of the skin include dust, heavy water, exhaust gases, smog, UV and radioactive radiation. All these factors lead to a number of problems, for example, dryness and flabbiness of the skin, clogged pores, redness and allergic reactions, the appearance of premature wrinkles.
Alcohol causes the dehydration of the whole body, including skin. It means that it makes your skin look swollen. With time, the skin will lose its elasticity and freshness because of the absence of hydration. Moreover, alcohol has a negative impact on vitamin A, which plays a huge role in the regeneration of skin cells and the production of collagen.
Not Removing Your Makeup Before Bed
Our skin has its own biorhythms, and from 12 am to 4 am it actively absorbs everything that lies on its surface. If you neglect the procedure of removing your make-up for the night, then cosmetics, dirt, sebum and other things which accumulated on the face during the whole day, will be perfectly absorbed into the deep layers of the skin.
And this, in turn, can cause the appearance of acne, dermatitis and even allergic reactions. In addition, by not removing your make-up, you disturb the breathing of the skin, the supply of oxygen to cells. In such a case, a dull complexion is something that shouldn’t surprise you.
Diets & Rapid Weight Loss
Passion for diets and rapid weight loss affects our skin. A layer of subcutaneous fat on the face can be thinned together with the lost pounds. It serves as some sort of a “pillow” on which the tissues lie. The damage of this layer of skin can result in dehydration, the reduced elasticity of the skin, the appearance of early wrinkles.
It’s always recommended to lose weight gradually. You need your own special rhythm of life for growing thin. The weight loss process should be accompanied by physical exercises and massages. (Read about natural fat burning pills & tablets here). You’ve probably seen many terrible photos of skin after diets on the internet. During this period, remember to actively use moisturizing creams.
General Health Of The Body & Diseases
It’s no wonder that the health of the body is the main factor of skin aging or, on the contrary, long-term preservation of youth. Skin is not just a layer of cells on our body. It is a living organism in which different regeneration processes take place. Skin is in a close relationship with the general state of our body.
Furthermore, its condition is also affected by the hormonal state, which also changes with age in women. It is proved that during the onset of menopause and a decrease in the production of female sex hormones (estrogens), skin starts to age especially rapidly, the face becomes flabby.
During the disease, the epidermis also does not look the best, since it often suffers from dehydration. Some diseases of the internal organs lead to a decrease in the skin elasticity and a deterioration in its color. Wrinkles on face can appear as a result of the following diseases: diseases of liver, stomach, kidneys, intestines, lungs, endocrine system.
Therefore, when trying to find ways how to remove wrinkles from face, cosmetologists recommend paying attention not only to the external manifestations of aging. It’s important to understand that this process starts from the inside, occurs in the body as a whole.
As you can see, to keep the youth of the body and skin longer, it is important to monitor your own health. The body needs a good rest, sufficient amount of water – not less than 0.4 gallons of liquid per day. The health of endocrine, nervous systems, and a lack of stress also plays a huge role.
This is a natural process that affects all parts of the body, and the skin is not an exception. Our skin is a multi-layered organ. The thickness of its outer layer is only 0.2 mm. The dermis lies under it, and even deeper- subcutaneous fatty tissue. That is, the structure of this organ is quite large, and gravitational forces act on it, as on all living things on our planet. Under the influence of these forces, natural ptosis (drooping and sagging of the tissue) begins to occur with age.
Young people don’t need to worry about it because of the elastic structure of the dermis and the high turgor (elasticity) of the epidermis. At this age, the face resembles an upside-down triangle, or “triangle of youth.” As you get older, the triangle turns downward with a base: the tissues come down, the cheeks become saggy, pronounced nasolabial folds form, the corners of the mouth also go down.
This process has nothing to do with the state of the epidermis – the external skin. Emerging wrinkles, which, due to the ptosis of the tissues usually appear after the age of 45, can only be removed by affecting the deep structures: dermis, subcutaneous tissue. Due to ptosis, skin folds are being formed after the weight loss: the volume of cellular tissue decreases, and the skin literally sags.
Care Or Its Absence
One can blame genetics and dry skin in the early appearance of wrinkles on face. But in practice, with sufficient daily care, their formation occurs much more slowly than in the case of the total absence of attention to the face.
Care at a young age consists in the regular purification and moisturizing of the epidermis. Every woman who has reached the age of twenty should moisturize her skin daily.
It is impossible to overestimate the role of skin hydration. It needs epidermis of any type: dry, fat, normal. Humidification allows the skin to maintain a sufficient level of moisture in the dermis, which is eighty percent water. By not using the moisturizer or your best face cream for wrinkles daily – you provoke dehydration of the skin and its early aging.
When there’s a lack of moisture, the skin cells simply can’t function the way they should. The metabolism slows down, the cells divide slowly, look worse, age quicker, the skin regeneration takes more time.
As a rule, girls with dry skin do not doubt the need for regular moisturizing. But those who have fat believe that they do not need it. On the contrary, they think that in order to reduce the intensity of fatty secretions, it is important to dry the epidermis.
This belief is dangerous because it can lead to the development of dehydration of the skin, which causes the appearance of fine wrinkles all over the face. A dehydrated epidermis is similar to parchment paper. It is thin, covered with folds, while the fat content does not decrease, but on the contrary, it grows in geometric progression. In such a way, the skin tries to compensate the lack of moisture and reduce its evaporation from the dermis.
How To Remove Wrinkles From Face? Home Remedies
Home remedies, such as masks and lotions which can be prepared at home, can help to remove first signs of wrinkles on face. Let’s take a look at some of them.
- Take calendula flower (30g) and pour it with boiling water (200 mg). Infuse the mixture for 30 minutes. Wet the napkin in the resulting solution and put it on your face, keep it until it dries. After removing the napkin, wash your face with warm water. It is believed that this procedure helps to reduce superficial wrinkles.
- The following lotion also has a good smoothing effect on the skin. It is prepared from chamomile flowers. To do this, mix chamomile, sage, field horsetail, lime in equal proportions (1 teaspoon). Pour it all with boiling water (200 mg) and infuse for 1 day. After that, the lotion is ready.
- This mask can help with the wrinkles that have already appeared on the face: 2 tablespoons of juice, squeezed from the leaves of aloe, stir with 1 tablespoon of pre-heated honey. Apply the resulting mass to the skin and leave for 10 minutes, then rinse with room temperature water. Since aloe is a good anti-wrinkle remedy, you can simply put a blend from its leaves on the skin for 10-15 minutes, or just wipe your face with aloe juice.
- Another herbal face mask: 2 tablespoons of fresh mint leaves, and as many dandelion leaves pour with 1 cup of boiling water, close the lid tightly, and let it brew for 1 hour. After this, filter the resulting solution, pour the broth into ice molds and freeze. Wipe the skin with this ice every day in the morning and in the evening. You can prepare ice from the decoction of raspberry leaves and linden flowers using the same method.
- One more herbal remedy: Take 1 teaspoon of fresh rose petals, fresh mint leaves, dried chamomile flowers, and fresh leaves of nettle. Pour all with half a cup of boiling water, cook for 5 minutes and strain it. Mix the herbal blend with 1 teaspoon of cottage cheese, and add some warm milk. The density of the resulting mass should resemble sour cream. Apply to face skin, and rinse after 20 minutes. This herbal recipe is great for dry, wrinkled skin.
Other Wrinkle Removing Masks
- Bananas are great for preparing anti-aging masks: Mash a half of the peeled banana thoroughly. Add 2 tablespoons cream and 1 tablespoon oatmeal. Stir everything to a homogeneous mass, which applies to the face and neck for 20 minutes. Then rinse it with warm water.
- One more natural home remedy for wrinkles: Stir half a glass of milk with half a glass of fresh grape juice. Wet the gauze napkin in it and put it on your face. Remove after 15 minutes, rinse face with warm water, and apply the moisturizing cream(!).
- A recipe for the anti-wrinkle mask from grapefruit: 2 tablespoons of this fruit’s pulp mix with 2 tablespoons of carrot juice, 1 tablespoon of sour cream, and 1 tablespoon of rice flour. Apply to the face for 15-20 minutes, remove the mask with a cotton swab dipped in grapefruit juice, then wash with warm water.
- Potato mask recipe: Boil the jacket potatoes, peel it and mash. Stir 2 tablespoons of mashed potatoes with 1 tablespoon of milk and sour cream, 1 teaspoon of glycerin, and the same amount of vegetable oil. Apply the mass to the face for 15 minutes, then wash it carefully.
- Anti-wrinkle remedy from nettle: Very finely chop the leaves of the nettle. Mix 2 tablespoons of the resulting mixture with 1 teaspoon of honey and 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil. Apply mass to the face for 15 minutes, wash with room temperature water.
- Honey mask recipe: Honey is very often used for reducing wrinkles. 1 tablespoon of honey stir with the same amount of crushed oatmeal, 1 tablespoon of strong black tea and 2 tablespoons of milk. Apply the mixture to the face and leave for 10-15 minutes, then, as usual, rinse with water. You can also use oatmeal or rice flour for it.
Unfortunately, as you probably understand it, home remedies can’t give a positive result in all cases. Homemade wrinkle remover creams and lotions only act superficially on the skin and are not capable of removing deep traces and creases. Only an insignificant result can be seen after such treatment. These are relatively weak means in the fight against skin aging.
That’s why women turn to professionals: doctors and surgeons who remove this defect with the help of a plastic surgery, or cosmetologists and skin care specialists who have many different wrinkle treatments up their sleeves. I will cover both of these scenarios in the next parts of my article.
How To Remove Wrinkles From Face – Professional Treatments
As I’ve already mentioned, there are many salon techniques for correcting age-related skin changes. These include not only popular injections, whose advantages are very controversial (Botox, Restylane, Dysport) but also more sparing methods that don’t require a deep penetration into the epidermis but still cause the effect of rejuvenation, smooth wrinkles. Such procedures include peels, microcurrent therapy, massage, laser resurfacing, blepharoplasty and surgical facelift.
Dermatologists claim that currently, they only use drugs that cause minimal skin trauma and work within the epidermis. Previously used substances that caused a violation of deep layers of skin have not proven to be effective. Delicate compositions of superficial peels do not injure living cells of the epidermis but cause an exfoliating and stimulating effect.
By peel, we exfoliate the horny (the outermost) layer of the epidermis, weaken its barrier qualities and force to increase the regeneration of active components, improve the renewal of the dermis. In order to eliminate wrinkles in a relatively short time, dermatologists recommend a combination of drugs with retinol, fruit acids.
The doctors say that when the skin loses its tone, the first wrinkles above the lips start to appear, other cosmetic problems are observed, the peel that stimulates the renewal can be extremely useful. It will give the epidermis a charge of energy and spur natural regeneration processes.
Microcurrent therapy stimulates rejuvenation with the help of current pulses. Microcurrents tone up the weakened facial muscles, thereby providing a facelift effect. At the same time, they improve metabolic processes, activate lymphatic drainage, which reduces swelling.
The therapy is accompanied by deep moisturizing of the skin and allows the cosmetologist to inject various nutrients into the deep layers of the skin. Microcurrent therapy is recommended from the age of thirty. The treatment consists of several courses. At a young age, a course of six procedures is enough, after forty years of old, 8-10 procedures and one monthly maintenance therapy is required.
The professional massage removes wrinkles under the eyes, eliminates swelling of the face, reduces the severity of ptosis of tissues. It does not serve as a tonic, but on the contrary, relaxes the muscles which cause deformations of the skin and the formation of facial wrinkles, relieves tension.
The blood begins to run faster through the subcutaneous capillaries. The metabolic processes in the cells begin to occur more intensively. The skin receives the necessary nutrients in a larger amount. Collagen and elastin start to be produced twice as fast. The skin becomes elastic and the wrinkles are smoothed out. Muscle tissue strengthens and the effect of saggy skin disappears.
The work of capillaries gets back to normal – redness on face (check out the article about reducing redness on face and choosing the best moisturizer) and acne caused by the proximity of the blood vessels to the skin disappear without a trace. Facial massage is not only an effective remedy for wrinkles but also an excellent method of its prevention.
Some skin defects, for example, certain types of wrinkles, scars, stretch marks, are located in the epidermis. If you “remove” the damaged cells, the surface of the skin will become even and smooth again. That’s exactly what laser resurfacing is about.
Laser resurfacing is a technique that involves exposing the skin to light radiation with a specific wavelength and intensity. The essence of this procedure: the laser beam penetrates the epidermis while heating its cells. Under the influence of temperature, water evaporates in their exogenous and endogenous environments.
The life of cells is impossible without moisture – they die out. All protein junctions of the epidermis are also being destroyed – denature, because laser radiation heats tissues much higher than the permissible limits of their existence. On the one hand, it gives the skin the effect of tightening and lift.
On the other hand, it starts the processes of regeneration and synthesis of new cellular tissues instead of the destroyed ones. The skin starts its active renewal. Facial laser resurfacing helps to eliminate such skin imperfections as scars, superficial wrinkles, pigmentation.
Modern skin care clinics use fractional types of lasers for this treatment. Their main difference from the traditional laser is in the nature of the radiation – it is divided into separate beams. This allows to affect the skin selectively. It means that the treated area will consist of areas exposed to the laser and areas of untouched healthy skin.
Types Of Laser Resurfacing
Lasers for resurfacing are divided into three types:
- Carbon dioxide (CO2)
- Low intensive
A Carbon dioxide laser is considered to be the most effective due to its deep penetration. The name of the last type of laser speaks for itself – the exposure is carried out by beams of low intensity and low frequency. It is the most gentle and, accordingly, the least effective method which is not capable of solving serious skin problems. However, a low-intensity laser triggers important processes in the skin:
- Accelerates metabolic processes
- Increases the activity of protein structures of the skin
- Increases the concentration of oxygen in blood
- Reduces the activity of free radicals
- Contributes to the normalization of internal skin processes.
Laser resurfacing has the following contraindications:
- Active stage of acne
- Infectious diseases in the treatment area
- Allergy to sunlight
- Oncological diseases
- Skin dehydration
Stages Of Laser Resurfacing
- Full removal of the make-up from face
- Disinfection of the skin
- Anesthesia of the treated area of skin by using cream or intravenous injection
- Laser treatment of the skin
The session can last from 15 minutes to 1.5 hours, depending on the condition of the skin and the size of a treated area.
Facial laser resurfacing is a serious and traumatic procedure. That’s why it involves a recovery period. The treatment site is a zone of a controlled burn. And the skin behaves accordingly: it is damaged, has a reddish hue, drops of liquid can appear on its surface.
The skin will hurt and itch at the beginning of healing process. It is absolutely forbidden to touch it. Crusts are formed 2 days after the procedure. They can’t be removed because of active recovery processes under them. In 7 days they will go off on their own. Fractional laser resurfacing of the face requires a two-week rehab. In the case of a full treatment, the skin will return to normal after 3-6 months or longer.
As you may remember, I’ve already talked about blepharoplasty when reviewing all methods of removing periorbital dark circles and choosing dark eye circles remedy.
The most vulnerable parts of the face are the eyelids, and it is the problems associated mainly with this area that lead women to surgeons and cosmetologists for the first time. Blepharoplasty (from Greek: blepharon-eyelid), also known as eyelid plastic surgery, is a surgical method for the correction of wrinkles in the eyelid area, which helps to eliminate overhanging upper eyelids, “bags” and wrinkles under the eyes.
There are almost no age restrictions for blepharoplasty. The most common candidates for this surgery are women aged 35-60. If the saggy eyelids is an inherited genetic trait, a surgical intervention is acceptable at an earlier age.
The operation consists in excision of the so-called hernias – excess skin and cellular tissue – and is performed under local anesthesia. During the operation, it is possible to correct the corners of the eyes and eyebrows – raise them, and also reduce the depth of wrinkles in the outer corners of the eyes area with the help of myotomy – dissecting the muscles in order to weaken them and, consequently, spreading the skin above the muscles.
Blepharoplasty is a less serious operation than the facelift, so most of the swelling disappears in 4-5 days. The preliminary result of blepharoplasty can be estimated as early as 1-2 weeks after the surgery. The final result will be seen a few months later, after the complete healing and rehab. Blepharoplasty can be supplemented with “Botox” injections, which eliminate small wrinkles near the eyes or correcting biopolymer gel.
After the operation, the following side effects may occur:
- reddening of the eyes
- in some cases dryness or excessive tearing
- foreign body sensation
- foreign body sensation
- increased sensitivity to light
Although the anti-inflammatory eye drops can quickly eliminate these symptoms, there may also be an allergic reaction to the anesthetic, a slight asymmetry of the scars, bruises, temporary difficulties in closing the eyes, pulling down the lower eyelids, which will require additional procedures.
Surgical Facelift – Instant Wrinkle Remover?
A facelift is a surgical operation whose aim is to remove wrinkles and creases, excess skin, fat deposits, tighten the muscles of the face. In some faces, the facelift involves removing parts of the muscular structure together with the excess skin. The remaining skin is stretched, and the problem areas are smoothed out.
Plastic surgeons distinguish 5 basic signs of aging face:
- Changes in skin pigmentation
- Loss of volume (sunken cheeks)
- Loss of skin elasticity
- Sagging skin
The first three problems can be managed without surgery – by a chemical peel, injections of hyaluronic acid or botox. However, the effective solution of the problem with elasticity and sagging will only be possible with the help of a face lift.
A facelift is recommended for people at the age of 35-55, when the external signs of aging have already begun to manifest themselves, but the skin has not yet lost the ability to regenerate. The facelift is particularly popular with those whose occupation involves a high degree of publicity – politicians, TV presenters, show business stars.
Types of Face Lift
According to the type of the treated zone, the following types of the face lift are distinguished:
- Upper lift – this type of lift involves a treatment in the forehead and eyebrow area, cuts are made in the scalp.
- Middle lift – nasolabial folds, cheeks, folds around the mouth are treated. The incisions are made in the temporal are and above the upper lip
- Lower lift – affects the lower jaw, chin, and neck. An incision is made under the chin.
Depending on the tasks that the surgeon faces, one or several types of lifts can be used. So, for example, facial contouring on the basis of an individual plan, as a rule, involves the treatment of all three zones, however, the intensity of the intervention may be different.
According to the depth of the intervention:
- Subcutaneous lift – lifts the skin, not affecting fatty tissue and facial muscles. The effect of such an operation will be noticeable in patients whose face is only slightly affected by age-related changes. It is impossible to remove deep nasolabial folds and skin sagging in this way.
- SMAS lift – involves working with both the skin and the muscular structure of the face which helps to achieve more impressive results.
How Is The Surgery Performed?
The operation can be performed either under general or under local anesthesia – depending on the type and depth of intervention. The facelift can be carried out with the help of a usual set of surgical instruments, and with the help of endoscopic equipment (endoscopic facelift). The latter option is very popular nowadays because in this case, the size of the cuts produced is much smaller.
However, its efficiency is somewhat lower than that of the classical lift. The cuts are made along the hair growth line: they begin in the hair growth zone above the forehead, go to the temples, skirting the ears and end at the bottom of the head or under the chin, if the neck is also tightened. The operation can last from 2 to 6 hours.
After The Surgery
After the operation, it is recommended to stay in the hospital for at least one day. In 10 days, the seams are being removed, but special compression clothes should be worn for about a month. However, it may not be required, because, in modern plastic surgery, dissolvable materials are gaining popularity.
The edemas and hematomas remain on the face for 2-4 weeks. Preliminary results of the operation can be observed after the reduction of puffiness. The face will gain its final form in about 6 months after the lift. The effect of facelift can’t last more than 7 years because age-related changes in the body are irreversible.
It is worth remembering that the course of the treatment greatly depends on the features of your face, the condition of the skin, bone tissue and facial muscles. The surgeon usually selects individual methods during the consultation. In order to get the best effect possible, facelift surgery can be combined with blepharoplasty, chin liposuction, Restylane and Botox injections.
Cosmetic Treatments. Expectations & Reality
- Everything that the latest achievements in cosmetology offer us is expensive procedures that not everyone can afford. In most cases, several sessions are required in order to see the result, and obviously, you will have to pay for each of them.
- In addition, the effect of the treatment may not always be the same as promised by the cosmetologist. Many clinics and salons often indicate the maximum duration of the procedure in their advertisements, quite often overstated. The photos that they use to demonstrate the result are often created in Photoshop. No one will give any guarantees as for the duration of the procedure because no one knows how your skin will feel and behave after a serious intervention.
- Each operation is characterized by a number of complications. For example, hyper and depigmentation, damage to the facial nerves, infectious inflammation of the skin, asymmetry of the face and scars.
- All clinical procedures have strict contraindications, the neglect of which can lead to some serious ramifications.
- Any medical intervention always has a human factor in it. One wrong movement of the doctor’s hand or a slightly higher concentration of acid – and the rehabilitation period can already take place in the intensive care ward.
- Our body is a well-coordinated system in which each cell works according to the natural laws. That’s why any interference disturbs the existing balance and puts the whole organism in a state of stress.
As you can see, eliminating wrinkles on the face through surgical intervention can be really effective, but honestly speaking, it’s not the best idea for everyone. There are too many contraindications, plus after the operation, it’s very difficult to recover. Constant discomfort and painful sensations are a part of the healing process.
The patient will experience them for quite a long time. The result of the treatment becomes noticeable only when all the seams are healed. A proper nutrition and a good sleep are very important during the rehabilitation.
Doctors and cosmetologists may try to assure you about 100% safety of their treatments but in reality, any intervention has its consequences and you should treat them with special caution by weighing all the pros and cons, finding out whether you really need it.
Professional techniques for removing wrinkles from face described above are, obviously, considered more effective than home remedies. But you should take into consideration that without proper daily care, the skin quickly loses its tone and attractiveness acquired during the course of microcurrent therapy or peel. Therefore, you shouldn’t underestimate the importance of home care.
General Rules For Preventing Ageing. Best Face Cream For Wrinkles
Eventually, one thing that you should understand is that it’s not possible to completely get rid of wrinkles on face, at least with the help of masks and creams. There is no magical instant wrinkle remover that will make your skin young again.
Moreover, I personally think that it’s just pointless. Yes. I do understand that everyone wants to look beautiful at all ages but after all, aging is a natural process. That means that the only thing we can do is to slow it down by trying to eliminate all the factors that accelerate it.
- Try not to express your emotions on the face
- Protect your skin from direct sunlight (use special cream, wide-brimmed hats, glasses)
- Avoid stress, do not take someone else’s problems to heart
- Maintain good and proper nutrition by including organic products in your diet
- Drink enough pure water
- Choose appropriate skin care products for your specific skin type
- Use quality cosmetics and always wash it off before going to bed
- Use daily skin care products with UV protection, especially in summer
- Get rid of bad habits (smoking, alcohol, fast food)
- Choose the best face cream for wrinkles that will help in rejuvenating your skin.
Please take note that all these pieces of advice are worth taking starting from ages 25-30, when there are almost no wrinkles on your face. This approach will allow you to stay young as long as possible because when wrinkles are already there, it is more difficult to deal with them.
I hope that the information that I’ve provided for you has helped you to better understand how to remove wrinkles from face by using different methods and techniques. All you have to do is to choose a method that best suits your needs and be consistent in it.
And the last thing I want to say. Remember, a woman should not only have a young body, but also be young at her heart, and in her spirit. Thank you for your attention. See you next time.
